Presenting the Robot4All project to VET students

International Educational Fair of Cyprus 2019 “Education and Career”

“Emphasys Centre” participated in the Cyprus International “Education and Career Exhibition 2019’ that was organised by the Ministry of Education and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry. It was an honour for our organisation to welcome Mr Costas Hambiaouris, Minister of Education and Culture, at our booths and be given the opportunity to present the spectrum of our work within the digital field.

A great interest was shown about the Coding, Robotics and STEM skills, their integration into the schools’ curriculum. Based on the data provided by the organisers, more than 10,000 people participated. Amongst them parents, students, young people, adults, professionals  were informed about the ROBOT4ALL project.

International Educational Fair of Cyprus 2018 “Education and Career”

The “Emphasys Centre” has participated in the International Educational Fair of Cyprus 2018 “Education and Career”,  between the 23rd and 25th of February organised by:

  • Ministry of Education and Culture of Cyprus,
  • The Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI),
  • The Cyprus Employers and Industrialists Federation (OEB)   

Several important stakeholders, key people and official bodies, as well as parents, teenagers, teachers, youth workers and many others visited Emphasys’ booth and were informed about the ‘ROBOVET4ALL’ project’s aims, objectives, products and expected outcomes. 

Overall the International Fair presented a great opportunity for the dissemination of the ‘ROBOVET4ALL‘ project to a large number of interested people (estimated to be more than 10,000).

Get Into Games (GIG) - Ignite Conference

Civic has participated in the workshop ‘Get into Games (GiG) – Ignite (Conference) on the 15th of December 2017.

Meet the GiGs and let the game begin!

The event was targeted towards Educational games developers, trainers, educators, HE institutes, ICT trainers, digital entrepreneurs, training organisations with focus in ICT enabled education.

During the workshop the potential of educational games including building robotics, for enhancing the digital skills of adults learners and collected 14 contacts from interested individuals who are now part of the project’s contact database was discussed.

The adult target group is ideal for educational games and games are an excellent method of addressing the need for better digital skills of adults as they build on a hands on approach to the problem.

90 people participated in the event.

Erasmus+ Festival

Emphasys Center participated in the Erasmus + Festival, which was successfully held on Saturday, October 12, 2019 as part of the #ErasmusDays celebrations.
The Festival was organized by IDEP (Lifelong Learning) and the Cyprus Youth Board whom we would like to thank for their invitation and for the excellent organisation.
During the Festival the Emphasys Center presented the opportunities offered for free participation and training in the European project Robot4ALL!

EU Robotics Week 2019

During the EU Robotics Week, Emphasys Centre was invited by the Cyprus Computer Society, and organised an informative workshop at the 40th Scout Team.
The workshop took place on Saturday, November 16, 2019, during which various robotics activities were organized using a range of robots such as Arduino, Lego Mindstorms, Lego Boost and Edison. Scouts also had the opportunity to experience the Virtual Reality world closely using the Oculus Rift S.
Emphasys Centre is always on the side of young people, offering new programs that meet the needs of the modern age, as well as opportunities through the European Programs Erasmus + Robot4All (VET Sector).
We would like to thank the 40th Scout System for this opportunity.
We would also like to thank our students Kyriakos Flourou and Athena Charalambidis for their valuable help during the workshop.

ROBOTICS CHRISTMAS EVENT!

Emphasys Centre and the Cyprus Computer Society, in response to the invitation of the Ag. Demetriou School, participated in the Christmas event held on Sunday, December 8, 2019.


During the workshop, students, parents and teachers were informed about the ROBOT4ALL project and had the opportunity to participate in various robotics activities using various robots such as Arduino, Lego Mindstorms, Lego Boost and Edison.
